    Flying Eagle Link Trail – Connecting to the national park

    Please note: Officially closed until further notice!!! The bad spring/ summer weather has taken its toll – it is just too wet. Parts of the trail were flooded and are still inaccessible. The Paba Mashiwat Kinew / Flying Eagle Link Trail is a multi-use, non-motorized connector trail between the Rossburn Subdivision Trail and Riding Mountain National Park.     Be bear smart!

    There seems to be increased bear activity in Manitoba this year. Be prepared for encounters with bears while traveling on the Rossburn Subdivsion Trail. Don’t forget – you are in their territory so please act accordingly and respectfully! Find more resources about bear safety here or download the brochure ” Coexisting with Black Bears” published by Manitoba Government. What to do? • Be alert• Make noise• Travel in groups• Keep dogs on leash• Keep bear deterrent spray handy & know how to use it• Store food, garbage, toothpaste and clothes used while cooking where bears can’t access them.• Never leave food unattended• Leave only footprints behind (not garbage)
